Ejari (Arabic for "my rent") is the official tenancy registration system managed by the Dubai Land Department (DLD). Every tenancy contract in Dubai must be registered in Ejari — without it, your contract has no legal standing.

Why Ejari Is Mandatory

1. Legal protection — An unregistered tenancy cannot be enforced at the RERA Rental Dispute Settlement Centre

2. DEWA connection — Dubai Electricity and Water Authority requires a valid Ejari certificate to connect utilities in your name

3. Residence visa — Required for family visa applications and visa renewals

4. School enrolment — Many Dubai schools require Ejari as proof of residence

5. Bank accounts — Some banks accept Ejari in lieu of a utility bill for address verification

What Documents You Need

  • Original tenancy contract (signed by both parties)
  • Landlord's Emirates ID or passport
  • Your Emirates ID or passport
  • Trade licence (if company is renting)
  • Previous Ejari certificate (for renewals)
  • DEWA premises number
  • How Much Does Ejari Cost?

AED 199 — this is the DLD fee for registering a new tenancy contract. Renewal registration is the same price.

Al Firouz charges exactly AED 199 — no markups, no admin fees. We complete registration through the official DLD Ejari system and deliver your certificate digitally.

    How Long Does It Take?

With all documents ready, registration takes 15–30 minutes at a typing centre, or 24–48 hours if done online through the DLD app.

Al Firouz handles Ejari for all our rental clients. Contact us at [/ejari](/ejari) or call +971 4 835 8084 to get started today.
